Dear Editors,
Thank you for visiting my online portfolio. This portfolio contains select samples of my writing. With a few exceptions, all work here is published and copyrighted. That information can be found at the top of the document. Included on this site are links to highlighted feature articles, essays, reviews, and several samples of agency work. Currently, I focus on biotech, health, fitness, clinical science, medicine and various aspects of marketing communications.
My work has appeared in numerous publications, such as Better Homes & Gardens, Pharmaceutical Executive, Pregnancy Magazine, Fitness Magazine, New Jersey Monthly, Women's Health and Fitness, and Energy for Women. I also have published numerous press releases, clinical monographs, and advertorials under corporate auspices. For a comprehensive list of publications and Web sites where my work is published, please see my resume. Though the majority of my work is available only in print, I mail reprints upon request.
As a writer, I use my passion for health, fitness and science to translate clinical data and terminology into easily readable text. My writing style is metaphorical and straightforward. I believe there is always a story to be told, regardless of the topic.
Currently, I am most interested in stories about the mind/body connection, notably how subtle changes in neurological function in the brain can change one's overall physiology. I am also intrigued by several other topics right now, including the potentially positive role of properly brewed coffee in improving health and how stem-cell breakthroughs are gradually increasing medical treatment options and starting to impact the prevailing business model. In addition, I care deeply about fitness and women's health.
Through this site, you can also view my Master's Thesis, The Impact of Electronic Content on Biomedical Publishing, which was the culmination of my work in the New York University Publishing program.
If you have any questions, would like to read reprints, or would like to suggest story ideas to me, please feel free to contact me at 917-319-4046 or via e-mail.
Thank you,
Nicole Gray
